Address by Management of Commercial Port of Vladivostok to Minister of Agriculture of Russia

For 12 months of 2011 Commercial Port of Vladivostok (integrated in FESCO Transportation Group) handled more than 6.3 mln tonnes: the share of bulk, liquid, timber and other general cargoes amounted to 3.1 mln tonnes. On average the port handled 17,484 tonnes of various cargoes daily.

Annual container handling volume totaled 432,062 TEU (export - 162,393 TEU, import - 156,733 TEU, cabotage - 112,936 TEU). 297,956 TEU were handled by Vladivostok Container Terminal (VCT), 134,142 TEU - by other terminals.

According to Vladimir Korchanov, CEO of Commercial Port of Vladivostok, performance results achieved in 2011 demonstrate company's intense work on top-priority goals. Container handling volumes in January-December 2011 represented a 27% increase compared with the same period of 2010. Moreover the number of container block trains dispatched from VCT increased from 158 trains in 2010 up to 299 trains in 2011. The volume of import cars and heavy-duty vehicles handled via terminals of the port Vladivostok increased 12.5% and amounted to 85,284 units. The volume of cabotage and export grain totaled 84,000 tonnes, which is 37% up compared with 2010. It is noteworthy that Commercial Port of Vladivostok hit 105% of the annual operational plan.
