Commercial Port of Vladivostok Employees Cleaned up Golden Horn Bay

On September 20 the Commercial Port of Vladivostok employees arranged the Cleanup Event in an effort to collect garbage, trash, debris from the aquatorium of Golden Horn Bay. The participants were well equipped with nets, bags and gloves. Present were 2 tug boats Moguchiy and Persey. More than 20 bags of waste have been collected for several hours.

Today the problem regarding the Golden Horn Bay environmental pollution becomes more urgent. The principles of social responsibility and environmental stewardship are an essential part FESCO Transportation Group business strategy and Port Development Strategy on Environment through 2015. Under this strategy Commercial Port of Vladivostok is making continuous efforts to mitigate negative footprint by constructing waste treatment plants, cooperating with city specialized companies which possess suitable equipment for utilization and disposal of hazardous waste, attracting "clean" cargo flows, namely containers, cars and machinery, metal products. Port is actively involved in upgrading cargo handling equipment and pavement repair of berths.
