Commercial Port of Vladivostok and Hebei Port will join efforts to increase cargo volumes via “Primorye-1” ITC

Commercial Port of Vladivostok (part of FESCO Transportation Group) and Hebei Port Group (China) have signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at enhancing cooperation and sharing experience. The parties will strive for boosting trade volumes between Russia and China.

This MOU will extend bilateral relations between the two ports, including realization of joint projects in Heilongjiang Province in China and Primorsky Krai in Russia, as well as establishment of port industrial clusters. The parties will join efforts to create favorable conditions for land and sea transportation of cargos between China and Russia including Primorye-1 ITC.

Commercial Port of Vladivostok and Hebei Port will forge partnership for the One Belt and One Road Initiative, as well as for transporting Chinese goods to Russia via the Northern Sea Route. Hebei Port Group in its turn will cooperate with the port of Vladivostok in the sphere of establishment and operation of CFS warehouses for consolidation and shipments of LCL cargos.

According to Zairbek Yusupov, CEO of Commercial Port of Vladivostok, this MOU will become the first step in developing joint projects between the parties. “Our common task is to undertake all possible efforts to unite the concepts of “Primorye-1” ITC and China’s One Belt and One Road Initiative.
